FEB 23RD: How can the open space environment, vistas, and feel of Gold Canyon and its surroundings be retained in the face of continuing development - or can it?
The “Conserving the Superstition Foothills - HOW?” regional discussion continues with the Tuesday, February 23rd SALT Speakers Series from 6:30-8PM via Zoom. This session will focus on "Possibilities & Priorities; Some Possible Combinations; Pros & Cons?" (See the link at the end of this article for registration AND participation!)
SALT (Superstition Area Land Trust) has been at the center of continuing attempts to conserve the open space around Gold Canyon, and of the Superstition Foothills (SF) generally for the last few decades. Because it is nearly all Arizona State Trust Land (AZST) which must be auctioned if sold, this has been and is a very difficult goal to reach.
The entire series revolves around WHY the Superstition Foothills should be conserved? What has been done in the past relative to this goal? AND why NOW might be our best opportunity yet to succeed. PLEASE JOIN US!
